    Canada to ease travel requirements amid decline in Covid-19 cases

    Starting February 28, the Canadian government will ease travel restrictions amid a downfall in daily Covid-19 infections. According to a report by news agency Reuters, fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed to take a rapid antigen test instead of a molecular one. 

    Health minister Jean-Yves Duclos said on Tuesday that the government will also monitor conditions ‘with an eye’ on dropping testing requirements for fully vaccinated Canadians who make short trips abroad (less than 72 hours).

Kerala budget to be presented on March 11, assembly session from tomorrow

Man accused of Murder bid held for forging Kerala high court order

With a person claiming to be the accused man’s lawyer having produced the forged order before the police, additional public prosecutor (APP) P Narayanan has written to the high court’s registrar general to take appropriate action in the matter



The accused moved the Kerala high court seeking anticipatory bail on January 21 and on that date the court asked the public prosecutor to get instructions and listed his plea for hearing on February 2, the APP said in his letter. (Representative use)

Supreme Court won’t refer Vanniyar quota to larger bench

The top court was hearing a batch of petitions filed by the state of Tamil Nadu, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and others challenging the November 1, 2021 judgement of the high court quashing the reservation provided to Vanniyars, saying it was unconstitutional.
