India adds 1,260 new Covid cases, 83 deaths in 24 hours
India again registered a decline in its daily Covid-19 tally on Saturday after 1,260 infections were added in the last 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 4,30,27,035, according to the Union health ministry’s dashboard. Eighty-three more patients died in the last 24 hours, and the toll has climbed to 5,21,264.

12 killed in explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city
At least 12 people were killed and 25 others were injured in an explosion in Afghanistan’s Herat city on Friday.
“The death toll of the blast in PD 12 of Herat city has risen to 12, with 25 wounded, provincial health officials said, saying the explosives were buried in a sports field and triggered as young people were playing,” a report by TOLO news said.
No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Woman asked to pay alimony to ex-husband; Bombay HC says either spouse can claim
The court said either of the spouses can claim alimony at any point of time after divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act. The couple of 23 years got divorced in 2015 and the husband moved an alimony plea in 2017.
